1. WHAT FILE FORMATS ARE ACCEPTED?
K-BOOKS accepts the PDF/X file format (PDF/X-3). Open data from the Adobe InDesign layout program will be accepted on request for an additional charge.
2. WHAT HAS TO BE CONSIDERED WHEN CREATING A PDF FILE?
Your PDF file must be compatible with the PDF/X standard (PDF/X-3 and later). DO NOT enter a password for the document. Only printable elements are permitted, that is to say: Form fields, comments, videos, etc. do not belong in the PDF. If blank pages are desired they need to be saved. The permissible colour schemes are CMYK and grayscale. Please do not submit any print PDFs generated by Adobe Photoshop, but always have Photoshop calculate a JPG or TIF file instead.
The data in your PDF file must be in single pages and with trim, including crop marks.
3. WHAT RESOLUTION SHOULD IMAGES IN THE FILE HAVE?
A resolution of 300 dpi is necessary for an optimal printing result. Line drawings should be resolved in 1200 dpi. A lower value leads to a poorer quality printing result.
4. WHICH COLOUR MODE MUST I CHOOSE?
The data must be always in CMYK colour mode. Print data deviating from our specifications are automatically converted to CMYK. That can cause colour variations. Please do not create any ornamental or special colours (HKS or pantone colours) or "alternative color spaces in CMYK".
5. WHAT COLOUR PROFILE SHOULD BE EMBEDDED?
When printing on coated or uncoated paper, the images in the document should be converted (image processing) into the appropriate profile in advance.

1. WHAT DO I DO IF I WANT TO REORDER A BOOK?
To reorder a book, log in to your account and access your previous orders in the archive there under "My Account". Due to the large amount of data, it is not possible for K-BOOKS to store the print data for more than 10 days after delivery of the finished book. The order details are stored for up to six months, so that a re-order can be commissioned by uploading the file again.
2. HOW LONG DOES THE PRODUCTION TAKE?
The production time depends on the desired product. Usually it is 8 to 10 business days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays). During the order process K-BOOKS will provide information about the exact shipping date. If an emergency arises and you need your book faster, an express printing is possible at an additional cost. Please note: Here, too, we are dependent on the shipping conditions of the UPS logistics company.

1. WHAT SHIPPING METHODS ARE POSSIBLE?
Your printed matter will be shipped via UPS. You can select the desired shipping method, "Standard package" or "Express 24-hour service", when ordering. You can check the delivery status of your shipment at any time through the UPS tracking system.
2. HOW MUCH ARE THE SHIPPING COSTS?
Your printed matter will be shipped by our logistics partner, UPS. The actual shipping cost will be individually determined and displayed during the ordering process.
3. IS CUSTOMER PICKUP POSSIBLE?
Pickup at our production site in Bönen (Westf), Germany is possible. We look forward to seeing you in Robert-Bosch-Str. 14 in 59199 Bönen.
4. IS INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY POSSIBLE?
K-BOOKS delivers to EU countries and Switzerland. Delivery outside of these countries is of course also possible upon request.
5. IS DELIBERY TO A PACKAGE STATION OR A POST OFFICE BOX POSSIBLE?
No, this type of delivery is not possible, because the printed matter is being shipped by UPS and that provider unfortunately does not have access to the DHL package stations.
