Colouring

The colouring for a print product is often given as a kind of formula:
"Number of colours front/number of colours back"

In practice, the formula can look like this, for example:
4/1: The number "4" before the slash stands for the number of colours on the front, the number "1" after the slash stands for the number of colours on the back. In the example, 4/1, the front would have four colours, while the back would be monochrome , which usually means black and white.

OVERVIEW OF COLOURING:
4/4-four coloured on both sides
4/1-front coloured, back black and white

4/0-front coloured, back not printed
1/1-black and white on both pages
1/0-front black and white, back not printed
