Softcover/Brochure

A softcover-as the name suggests-is a soft and flexible cover, comparable to the cover of a paperback.

The soft cover is also known as a brochure. The book block can be thread-stitched or perfect bound. It is inserted into a grooved cover and then cropped on three sides.

The gatefolded brochure is different. It is first given a front cut (so as not to cut off the flaps) and then a head and foot trim.
