Swiss Brochure

The Swiss brochure is a very special type of book binding. A thread-stitched or perfect bound book block is glued to the book binding only at the back (third cover page).

The decisive advantage of the Swiss brochure is that the book cover opens very flat.

Coloured threads or coloured spine-binding tape can also be used to set design highlights.

The groove that is usually given to the front of a book cover, whether soft cover or hardcover, is absent in the case of the Swiss brochure, so that the cover on the front of the book runs unhindered right to the spine of the book.
