Three-Sided Trimming

The three-sided trimming is always done after a book block is bound.
In the case of the soft cover, the cover is always trimmed to format automatically.
For the hardcover, the book block is trimmed first and then the book cover is mounted.

Three-sided trimming of a hardcover is also possible, however.
Like a soft cover, the hardcover or the half-clothbound book is trimmed on the three open pages (all except the spine) so that there is no size difference between the inside and the outside. The cover paperboard can then be seen at the cutting edge.

This mode of production can be used on request for a K-BOOK.
